Where it all began

About Lever

Lever was created by Mark Soulier and Tyler Perry, who met while studying at Utah State University (USU). With backgrounds that complemented each other — finance and economics on one side, computer science and engineering on the other — we found ourselves drawn to the same problem from different angles. Traditional financial tools were either overly technical or overly simplistic. They focused on precision, prescriptions, and outputs, but rarely on helping people understand how the system actually works. We started building Lever to bridge that gap: a tool grounded in solid financial thinking and powered by thoughtful engineering, designed to make complex dynamics feel intuitive.

We believe financial clarity should feel calm and exploratory, not overwhelming. Lever is built as a sandbox — a place to adjust assumptions, test ideas, and see how time, interest, and behavior shape long-term outcomes. Instead of telling you what to do, it shows you what happens when you do it. That visual cause-and-effect builds intuition, and intuition builds confidence. Our goal is simple: to make financial decision-making feel less intimidating and more empowering for everyday thinkers.

Lever is for educational and informational purposes only. The application is designed to help users explore financial scenarios and better understand how decisions may affect their financial timeline only. Lever does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, nor does any forecasted scenario using lever constitute financial advice.
